Abstract

This action research covers the problematic situation Honduran bilingual education faces currently before translation use in the EFL classroom. This research explains how translation has been banned from educational methodologies because of the Grammar-Translation Method failure, teachers personal points of view and experiences as well as students' points of view on the matter.This research intends to be remedial a sit offers the results of some translation activities and how they can be implemented in the classroom and thus develop competences that supposedly translation has trammeled. Additionally, some other translation activities are mentioned in order to contribute to teachers' ideas if they desire to try out and innovate through communicative, sociolinguistic, and pragmatic translation.
